The RTS family is deeply saddened to inform you that Dr. Kevin Collins was in a fatal car accident this morning in Knoxville, Tennessee. Kevin was a great friend and colleague. He will be dearly missed.
Born on February 13, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sproul passed away on December 14 at the age of 78, going home to the Lord whose Word he relentlessly and fearlessly defended.
Perhaps most notably, Dr. Smith was a leading voice in the founding of the Presbyterian Church in America, and he served as the denomination’s first Stated Clerk. His final working years were spent as a professor and dean at the Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, 1987-2012.
Dr. George W. Long, Jr., pastor at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church from 1964-1986, passed away Wednesday.
