“Some of us began to wonder if we could go beyond just talking about love of neighbor and actually create opportunities to be loving neighbors to people here in Atlanta during GA.” Two service projects and a giving opportunity are the result. 

“Christian relationships go deeper than friendship, deeper than even family ties. We are connected to one another through our union with Christ, and our bond is forever. The fellow believers we sit next to in worship on Sunday morning are the same people we will sing with in eternity.”

Mary Beth McGreevy thinks that, in the PCA, we too often we focus on what women can’t do. When we ask about what women can do, the answer is “Almost everything!”

The tidal wave of sexual harassment accusations and disclosures gives us an opportunity to discuss something God cares about: that word reputation.

In his role with RUF-I, LaCour has encouraged PCA churches to welcome the nations in their neighborhoods by reaching out to international students at American colleges and universities. The PCA is one of only four denominations that has an organized denominational effort to reach international students. 

“The new normal is we are facing combat and the daily demands of the war on terror,” Carter said. “We need ministers of the Gospel who are going to stand firm and proclaim Christ in the midst of this very challenging time.” 

As the months went by, the constant demands of disaster relief became more than the Clark family could sustain, but he leaves behind a ministry of immediate relief and a plan for long-term hope.

“There’s a lot more Scripture that builds an environmental ethic than you might imagine, and I don’t think Christians are too aware of it.”

When we filter out the din of competing voices and cultural distractions, there is a simplicity for the preacher/teacher, a simplicity in the message to be preached, a simplicity of the method to preach it, and a simplicity of the church’s mission.
