We can all get sidetracked proclaiming ourselves or other agendas, but this is our plea to all: “Be reconciled to God.”

When we love God, pleasing him pleases us.

Our love of the Father along with the Spirit’s testimony of his love for us combine to witness that we are God’s children.

Yes, we should cultivate the habit of prayer and Bible reading, but we should not think that God puts impossible standards upon us as frail, finite creatures.

We do not rejoice for earthly trials but find joy in a sovereign God whose eternal love and unending care provide the steadfastness needed for this world’s storms.

No matter what’s happening in our lives right now, we have assurance that our Heavenly Father is intimately involved in the details.

We are sent ones, going out with the power and peace of the Triune God.

We follow God’s law not to earn his love but because of it.

God sent his Son to die for our sin, not to keep our guilt alive.
