Ruling Elder Brent Andersen Appointed MNA Interim Coordinator
By

On Dec. 13, Teaching Elder Thurman Williams, chairman, Committee on Mission to North America, issued the following announcement:

As Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Mission to North America, it is my joy to announce that the Permanent Committee on Mission to North America has appointed Ruling Elder Brent Andersen to serve as MNA Interim Coordinator, effective January 1, 2021 (pending the approval of the General Assembly Theological Examining Committee). We are thankful to the Lord for His provision and leading in this crucial leadership role. If you will take a moment to look at the summary of Brent’s key experience and current leadership commitments which follows this announcement, you will see how God has prepared Brent for this role.

We look ahead with great expectation to what God has next for MNA. We rejoice in the leadership, direction, passion, and focus on advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ that God will give us through Brent. We look forward to exciting days ahead and for good progress even during this interim time.

The MNA Committee is formulating a search plan for God’s leading in the choice of the next MNA Coordinator. Look for future announcements and pray with us for God’s leading.

In addition, please continue to pray for Paul and Fran Hahn as they continue in transition to Paul’s new call to serve as Interim Pastor with Pacific Crossroads Church in Los Angeles, California. Pray for God’s work to advance that church in ministry as He provides leadership through Paul in their next steps.

May the Lord continue to bless and build his church!

TE Thurman Williams

Chairman, Committee on Mission to North America

I am humbled beyond measure to be asked by the Permanent Committee on Mission to North America to serve as Interim Coordinator. I look forward to getting to know and serving with the MNA team as we continue with the MNA Vision of coming alongside the local and regional church in church planting, church renewal, and missional partnerships.  I am especially thankful to Paul Hahn for his leadership of MNA over the past 4 ½ years, and for his friendship and support.  My prayer is that God will continue to bless MNA, and that He will provide me with the strength and wisdom necessary for leadership during this interim period.

Serving in His Grace,

Brent Andersen
