As previously announced, a special Assembly-wide prayer convocation will take place as part of the upcoming 51st General Assembly in Richmond, Virginia. Commissioners and visitors are encouraged to gather for a time of guided prayer as we pray for God’s glory and the church’s witness.

The Stated Clerk has invited church leaders from across the denomination to facilitate this time through prayer and the reading of Scripture. Randy Schlicting will serve as moderator and will be joined by David Strain, Jason Piland, Matt Bradley, Billy Park, Ken McHeard, Jason Helopoulos, David Richter, Patrick Tebbano, Owen Lee, Tony Felich, E.J. Nusbaum, and Will Spink.

As we call upon our Father together, special attention will be given to six areas of focus: 1) God’s glory, 2) Christ’s witness through his church, 3) the unity of God’s people, 4) the humility of God’s people, 5) repentance, and 6) reconciliation. Each area will have a relevant reading of Scripture, suggested prayer items, and an opportunity to pray in groups.

The Assembly-wide prayer convocation will take place on Wednesday, June 12 at 8 a.m. Additionally, there will be a prayer time on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:00-8:00 a.m. hosted by Korean Capital Presbytery in the convention center lobby.
