PCA Discipleship Ministries To Release Two New Books at General Assembly
By Staff

At the 47th General Assembly, PCA Discipleship Ministries (CDM) will release two new books.

The first new release is “Beyond the Roles: A Biblical Framework for Women in Ministry.” Edited by Melanie Cogdill, this essay collection brings together an ethnically- and generationally-diverse group of PCA women to consider a wide range of questions about gospel-centered discipleship ministry and responding wisely to 21st-century challenges. The essays remind readers of the importance of ministry rooted in the gospel truths. They also give readers the tools to contextualize their ministries while remaining anchored to God’s Word.

In “A Good Confession: Daily Reflections on the Westminster Catechism,” Greg Poole, discipleship pastor at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church, offers daily devotionals based on the Westminster Catechism. The devotionals are designed for families, small groups, or entire congregations and will help readers discover the significance of The Westminster Shorter Catechism in modern life.

Combining traditional and contemporary writings, “A Good Confession” points readers back to Scripture with a deeper understanding of the Catechism’s significance in life.

Both books will be available at the PCA Bookstore display in the exhibit hall during General Assembly.
