Registration for the PCA’s 53rd General Assembly opens today. The meeting is hosted by Ohio Valley Presbytery in Louisville, Kentucky, the week of June 22-26, 2026. The Assembly will convene at the Kentucky International Convention Center, which can easily be accessed from multiple hotels within walking distance.
This is the third time Louisville has hosted the PCA’s annual gathering, previously hosting the Assembly in 1999 and 2012. In 1999, the 27th General Assembly was held at the Galt House Hotel and moderated by Ruling Elder Tom Leopard. In 2012, the Assembly was held at the Kentucky International Convention Center and moderated by Teaching Elder Mike Ross.
Louisville is Kentucky’s largest city. Though there are only three PCA churches in or near Louisville, the presbytery has 24 churches throughout the region, which includes Lexington and the Ohio cities Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.
The Louisville host committee has announced that the theme for the week will be “The Welcome of God,” featuring Romans 15:7 as the theme verse: “Therefore, welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
The host committee has also announced the preachers for the three worship services to take place during the Assembly. Kevin DeYoung, Greg Lawrence, and Joshua Reitanno will preach.
Kevin DeYoung is the senior pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina, and the moderator of the 52nd General Assembly. He served on the Administrative Committee permanent committee for a number of years and was a member of the PCA’s Ad Interim Committee on Human Sexuality.
Greg Lawrence is the pastor of Community Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, where he has served since 2018, and a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He and his wife have five children.
Joshua Reitano is the senior pastor of New City Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, which he planted in 2009. Reitano is the co-author of “Rooted: The Apostles’ Creed.”
