Doriani to Return to Covenant Seminary
By

After a decade as senior pastor of Central Presbyterian church in Clayton, Mo., Dr. Dan Doriani will return to Covenant Seminary full time beginning October 1, 2013. He will serve as vice president of strategic academic projects and professor of theology.

In his new role, Doriani will teach two core courses for the Master of Divinity (MDiv) program—Ethics and Reformation and Modern Church History—as well as some elective courses on exegesis and church life. In addition, he will teach and speak on behalf of the Seminary in areas related to recruitment, alumni, and church events, and will assist in fundraising, with a particular focus on seeking funds for endowing faculty chairs. Dr. Doriani will also work on special projects as directed by seminary president Dr. Mark Dalbey, to whom he will report.

Before taking the senior pastorate at Central Presbyterian Church, Dr. Doriani served in various roles at Covenant from 1991 to 2003, including professor of New Testament, dean of faculty, and vice president of academics. During his time at Central, he taught part time at the Seminary as adjunct professor of systematic theology.
