Devotion for January 27
Never will we find power against sin in our pride, but only in the humility that acknowledges our need for spiritual strength from daily grace.

God is weaving everything together for good, even before we know what to ask. So ask!
While the Unity Fund has future goals in view, efforts thus far have already produced encouraging results.
Whenever we pray in Jesus’ name we are praying as Jesus did: “Yet, not my will, Father, but your will be done.”
God can still speak to us from his Word by allowing others to encourage us with its truths.
One day God will come to earth to dwell with us in such a way that we will see him face to face.
We are most determined to live for God, when we know he provides care despite our undeserving, not because we have qualified for his love.
Subjection in such cases of scandal will often require great humility before men and strong faith in Jesus Christ. These are, however, never bad things to cultivate in ourselves and among those whom we shepherd.
Be encouraged today, knowing that your flaws do not disqualify you from God’s purposes.
“In such a setting, the National Presbyterian Church may in God’s providence be a central factor if it exhibits and practices God’s holiness in life and doctrine, and simultaneously exhibits and practices God’s love toward all true Christians in whatever groups they are.”
