Main Street Greed

What motivated most people on the Main Street end of the economic spectrum to use their mushrooming home equity as collateral to open huge lines of credit, buy products they couldn’t afford, and take on debt they couldn’t repay? The answer is greed, and it has nothing to do with Wall Street.
