Rev. Robert Fitler, of Sharpsburg, Ga., passed away on June 30, 2012 just days before his 81st birthday.
A praise and worship memorial service will be Saturday, July 14 at 2 p.m. at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, Ga. Interment will be in Vicksburg, Miss.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Frances Fitler, son Douglas Fitler and wife Candy, daughter Susan Godfrey and husband Rick, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Bob was born in Greenville, Miss. on July 13, 1931. (To continue reading, please click here.)
What a beautiful man and a beautiful life. Bob had a profound impact on my understanding of and wonder in Jesus in my early 20′s. He loved his Lord and loved his neighbor. Well done.
