Former City Councilman Bill Nunn died Saturday after a crash in southeast Montgomery County.
Nunn served as the Montgomery City Council representative for District 9 from 1979 to 1987, City Clerk Brenda Blalock said.
Nunn, 69, died at Baptist Medical Center South after a two-vehicle crash about 12:05 p.m. Saturday at Old Pike Road and U.S. 82, said Sgt. Steve Jarrett, an Alabama state trooper spokesman.
Four others received injuries that were not life-threatening, Jarrett said.
Bill Joseph, a former county commissioner, said that Nunn was “a noncontroversial person” and a strong member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where Joseph also is a member.
“It is a real loss from a church standpoint,” Joseph said.
