God’s intention in his proverbs is to give us the counsel that our imperfect parenting requires, and also to remind us that he doesn’t give up on us because of our failures.

God has promised never to leave or forsake us, and God cannot break his own word. He will not leave – but neither will he forsake.

Faithfully continuing to fulfill our founding mission requires an ongoing posture of worship of and humble dependence upon the living God. 

What can displace such controlling love for sin? The answer: a greater love. 

God holds onto us when we confess that we cannot hold onto him. His grip is sure and no one is able to snatch us from his hand.

Sacrifices of praise please God. Sacrifices intended to manipulate him to please us, fool only us.

When Jesus calls us to walk with him, our heart’s response to the beauty of the Savior is to do just that.
