PCA Discipleship Ministries (CDM) continues to release Bible studies and resources for PCA churches and families. Here are some of their recent and upcoming releases.

Mission Possible: Children Discovering Purpose, Gifts, and Calling

This children’s curriculum was released in November 2024 as a joint effort with Mission to the World in advance of MTW’s Global Mission Conference. The 12-week Bible study, written by MTW Mobilization Specialist Mariah Cunningham, is designed to teach children about the call of missions from Genesis to Revelation. The lessons are written to give churches flexibility in presenting the material. Churches can use the content as single lessons, three- or four-week units, or one 12-week unit. Each lesson is flexible for teaching time as well, offering teachers the options of 45-, 60-, or 90-minute lessons.

“Daughters of the Covenant”

More than 40 years ago, Susan Hunt and Barbara Thompson began learning a covenantal perspective of Scripture. Their study seemed to unlock God’s Word, and the glory of his redemption story was revealed to them. In 2003, they shared what they had learned in “The Legacy of Biblical Womanhood.”

Now Hunt and Thompson have released an updated version, bringing their spiritual daughter Karen Hodge to the project, too. Hunt and Thompson explain, “We have grown in our understanding and experience of God’s covenant love and our adoption into His family. … The time is ripe to entrust it to another generation of readers.”

In “Daughters of the Covenant” these three combine their experiences to teach new generations how God’s covenant promises and principles inform and influence every role and relationship, change attitudes, ambitions, and actions, and shape and sustain us.

The book itself is available in the PCA bookstore now, and the leader’s guide will follow in February.

Upcoming Releases

Sarah Ivill’s study, “Colossians and Philemon: That in Everything Christ Might Be Preeminent,” will be CDM’s women’s ministry summer Bible study. The study will be ready for the Women’s Leadership Training conference in February.
