While the General Assembly gathers to deliberate on denominational business, the annual gathering also offers vital opportunities for fellowship, worship, and learning.

General Assembly seminars provide information, training, and resources for attendees. Each seminar will be recorded and featured on the Administrative Committee’s “Gifts and Graces” podcast.

Covenant College coordinates each year’s seminars as part of its mission to be “of the church and for the church,” says Hannah Forman, constituent relations coordinator at Covenant.

The seminar topics range from timely questions to enduring needs in the life of the church. For example, Forman said last year Greg Beale gave a seminar distinguishing allusions from quotations in Scripture, and Heather Hess held a seminar on imagination and the preeminence of Christ.

Other seminars covered more practical ministry topics, like the office of deacon, pastoral housing, disability ministry, and building a church culture of evangelism.

For more information, please visit the Seminar section of the General Assembly homepage and review the submission guidelines.
