Love for God results from knowing his mercy to us.

So, at the end of life, Mickey Mantle turned from himself to another. He asked Jesus to forgive him and to save his soul.

When we know more of God’s eternal comforts through our earthly afflictions, we are best able to share the truths of eternity with those needing God. 

Jesus took our place in the darkness and dirt of the cross and put us on a new path in his light.

We don’t trust our goodness to insulate us against all earthly trials, we trust the goodness of Jesus to take us through them to himself. 

Knowing and experiencing God’s re-wiring gives us confidence to move in the direction he empowers.

We never want to conclude that new life is impossible; the Spirit in believers is already sending spiritual power through us.

We love because God first loved us – sinners in need of a Savior.

When we trust that Jesus puts his mantle over us, God actually makes us his own child, covering us with the identity of Jesus. 

Our lives reflect the glory of God who delights to shine his grace from his Son into our hearts.
