Earthly trials lead to the advance of God’s purposes and our maturity until our earthly path is done.

God teaches we can do nothing apart from him that truly satisfies our hearts or solves our problems.

Our assurance of Jesus’ sacrificial, inseparable, and undying love inspires our love for him, and stirs our hearts to honor him.

By our pain we gain understanding of the dimensions of Christ’s grace that is needed to outweigh our suffering.

The cross, resurrection, and ascension inaugurate the ‘last days’ which culminate in the everlasting kingdom.

When we become like him in our suffering, we understand his heart better. 

When we bring a sinner back from their wandering away from God, we save a soul from death. If no one shares Jesus, eternal death is certain.

Only when a man truly humbles himself in this way can he give a proper account of his headship to God.

Jesus bore your sins by dying on the cross and shares his identity by living in you through the Holy Spirit.

May we remember what Solomon ultimately forgot: that God was the one who built his house, that he has brought us in, and that we flourish because of him, not our own talent or riches or wisdom or anything else.
