God was preparing his people to receive the grace of Christ long before his appearance on earth.

Honest confession reveals to us, more than to God, the transgression that requires his intercession. When we identify the magnitude of our sin, we discover the magnitude of his grace.

Knowing that God has made us able to stand and will always stand with us, we are more than conquerors of this world’s evils.

We long to reflect Christ’s heart because he claimed ours. His love for us makes us want to live for him and to be like him.

God says, “Others have struggled like you, and have found victory in my provision. So can you.”

Take each step of faith with the drumbeat of these oft-repeated words: The will of God will not lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you. 

Jesus not only paid for our sin, he provides his righteousness for us.

God’s hold on us is revealed by the tone of our hearts. When our hearts are tuned to God’s heart they resonate with his love for others.

In God’s great wisdom and love, he chose our spouse, out of all the persons in the world, to be the one to help us become the person he intends.

When the Lord swept our sins as far away as the east is from the west, and promised an eternity in his presence, the whisk of his broom became our assurance of abiding care for every day in every trial.
