Waiting helps us understand the meaning of patience.

We are not expected to be sovereign. We are not designed to control the circumstances of our lives.

Jesus didn’t come to make good people better or to save those who are trying their best. He came for those who know they can never be good enough.

What is impossible for us is easy for Jesus.

Because Jesus faced that storm for us—the storm of the cross—we can trust him in every storm we face.

Saying aloud, “Jesus, I love you,” stirs me up to show Him, by His strengthening grace, the truth of my expressed devotion.

Whose am I? I am Christ’s. I belong to Him.

If we confess our sins, because of His faithful love, from which nothing can separate us, we experience anew the wonder of forgiveness and a restoration of the joy of our salvation.

This is the promise of the gospel: that one day everything sad will come untrue, and everything broken will be made new.

Our specialness, our identity in Christ, is found not in something inherent to us but in his honor.
