Through its daily devotions, byFaith provides readers with the opportunity to begin each day by reflecting on God’s Word. Starting July 1, the series will feature the writing of the late James Montgomery Boice, compiled in a collection titled “Come to the Waters.” The content has been made available through the generosity of P&R Publishing.

In this series of devotionals curated from Boice’s sermons and writings, he draws the reader’s attention to the truths of Scripture and their ongoing significance for our lives as Christ’s disciples. Readers can subscribe to the series here or simply follow byFaith on social media to access a link for each day’s content. Existing subscribers may notice we have slightly modified the title of the series from “Daily Grace” to “Daily Faith” to create a closer connection with the byFaith platform.

Dave Almack from P&R Publishing told byFaith, “We are excited to partner with byFaith to bring Pastor James Boice’s rich Bible teaching to a new generation of readers. You will be encouraged and edified as this masterful expositor leads you every day to the life-giving Living Water—Jesus Christ.” Through this unique partnership, byFaith readers can purchase a discounted version of the 365-day devotional from P&R Publishing using the code JMB25.

Boice was the senior minister of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia from 1968 until his death in 2000. After his undergraduate studies at Harvard, Boice completed his seminary studies at Princeton Theological Seminary before earning his doctorate at the University of Basel. He actively defended biblical inerrancy through his work on the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy, and he was also a founding member of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.

Beyond his local ministry in Philadelphia, Boice was a widely recognized and respected Bible teacher through his commentaries, books, and radio broadcasts. Through his published teachings, he introduced the fundamentals of Reformed theology to many evangelicals.

Dr. Richard Phillips served on the pastoral staff under Boice. Of “Come to the Waters” Phillips wrote, “The preaching of James Montgomery Boice was a primary instigator in the resurgence of Reformed theology in America in the late twentieth century. Those of us who had the privilege to sit under his ministry week after week experienced the life-changing power of Boice’s expository preaching. ‘Come to the Waters’ captures the power of God’s Word as James Boice preached it and brings his ministry to life for readers today.”
