Jesus not only paid for our sin, he provides his righteousness for us.
We are not promised tomorrow, so today is the day to invest His time in eternal things: the Word of God and people.
God’s hold on us is revealed by the tone of our hearts. When our hearts are tuned to God’s heart they resonate with his love for others.
In God’s great wisdom and love, he chose our spouse, out of all the persons in the world, to be the one to help us become the person he intends.
When the Lord swept our sins as far away as the east is from the west, and promised an eternity in his presence, the whisk of his broom became our assurance of abiding care for every day in every trial.
God made a pagan king a member of heaven’s family by grace alone. We, too, become members of God’s family by faith in his grace alone.
It is important for us to remember that speaking for God should humble us before we seek to humble others.
