On Oct. 4, 2015, Watershed Fellowship had a watershed moment when the Gibson Pond Dam broke and flooded the church facility in Lexington’s Old Mill, a historic, revitalized section of downtown Lexington.

In 2005 MNA Disaster Response coordinated volunteers throughout the Gulf Coast in Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath. Now the churches that received help in 2005 want to help those in need farther north.

“The PCA has not had this many families affected by a storm since the Nashville flood several years ago,” said Arklie Hooten, MNA disaster-response director. “It’s been months, and families are still digging out of the rubble.”
