Perimeter Pastor Randy Pope Announces His Transition
By Perimeter Staff

During weekend worship services of February 23 and 24, Perimeter Church Founding Pastor and Lead Teacher Randy Pope announced his plans to transition from lead teacher and directional leader to a full-time position as an assistant pastor of Perimeter Church and president and CEO of Perimeter’s Life on Life discipleship ministry.

Pope planted the church in 1977 and has faithfully served as senior pastor for the past 42 years. The transition is scheduled for late September 2019.  Pope shared that the 20-year succession planning process had yielded a “bullseye” with the unofficial candidate of Jeff Norris, current assistant directional leader and teaching team member.

An official Nominating Committee will need to make a formal nomination of Norris at the congregational meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 3, at 6:00 p.m., in Perimeter’s main sanctuary. Once the official nomination has been put before the congregation, they will vote to confirm Norris that same night.
