Covenant College Hosts Lectures on Public Intellectuals in American History and American Life
By

Dr. Eric Miller, a professor of history and humanities at Geneva College, will present Covenant College’s annual WIC Lectures on February 9-11, 2012.

“Each year we choose a speaker who is qualified to address a prominent issue of concern to the church and culture at large that the emerging laity should be equipped to understand in order to live faithfully and serve effectively,” says Dr. Jay Green, professor of history at Covenant. “We have covered issues ranging from the environment to the visual arts, politics to consumerism, issues in science to race relations in the church. Our focus this year is the role of public intellectuals in American history and American life.”

Dr. Miller will speak in chapel on Thursday and Friday, February 9-10. He will also teach an intensive one-hour course during his visit. The lectures and classes are free and open to the public.
