Mission to North America

Churches can now donate to the MNA Thanksgiving Offering, which supports emerging leaders by funding internships and staff development in economically challenged communities. Churches in such communities are eligible for grants to help hire interns and new staff to develop as leaders. For more information, visit pcamna.org. 

Covenant Theological Seminary

Covenant Theological Seminary recently named disability ministry expert Stephanie O. Hubach to the post of Research Fellow in Disability Ministries. Hubach will focus on researching, writing, and speaking on topics related to identity, image-bearing, and disability in the family, as well as seeking better ways to understand those with disabilities in our churches. 

Covenant College 

Covenant College has received an Excellence in Preservation award from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for the restoration of Carter Hall. The two-year project returned Carter Hall’s exterior to its original design, repairing and restoring the original stucco and stonework. The project also included installing a new roof and reclaiming the north and south porches.

 The Schaeffer Conference on True Spirituality is the first major conference of Covenant College’s academic year, featuring a weeklong conference speaker honoring Francis Schaeffer’s legacy. This year’s conference will take place Sept. 24-28. Watch live at at covenant.edu/stream. 

Committee on Discipleship Ministries 

On Sept. 15, 2018, CDM will hold its Legacy Conference. The theme is “Serving God’s Purposes in Every Generation.” The conference will help church leaders think through issues surrounding ministry to older adults and also caring for caregivers. Reformed Theological  Seminary

In October, the Rev. Kevin DeYoung will publish “The Ten Commandments: What They Mean, Why They Matter, and Why We Should Obey Them” (Crossway). DeYoung is assistant professor of systematic theology at RTS Charlotte. The book helps readers understand the Ten Commandments and how to apply them.
