Mission to the World is offering a two-day intensive training on raising support Jan. 30 and 31, 2014, at MTW headquarters in Lawrenceville, Ga.

This event, “Raising Support Successfully: A Team Approach to Ministry,” is open to anyone with an interest in raising financial support and will prove helpful to both novice and veteran support raisers. The purpose of this training is to equip missionaries and other ministers of the gospel with the skills they need to strategically move forward in developing a team of supporters who will be personally invested in their ministry.

Specific topics to be covered include effectively communicating your vision, current trends and best practices in raising support, ways to energize your current efforts, how to think strategically about getting fully funded, and how to care for financial partners and earn their loyalty for the long haul.

One previous participant said, “I can honestly say I’ve never received anything like what we received at MTW. It was phenomenal! My wife and I loved the materials on biblical support raising. I’ve felt … that fund raising is just a necessary evil and this really changed my perspective and got me excited again about raising up ministry partners.”

The cost is $139 and will include materials and lunch both days of the training. A limited number of scholarships are available to those who qualify.
