This May, Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) will, for the third consecutive year, host three weeks of summer conferences for college students. As RUF’s only national conference, the Summer Conference will take place at Laguna Beach (Fla.) Christian Retreat during the weeks of May 5-10, May 12-17, and May 18-23.

RUF anticipates 2,500 students from more than 100 campuses across the country.

“You get to see the demographic shift from being, say, just a small ministry located primarily in the Southeast, to a national ministry reaching coast to coast in the United States,” says Ryan Moore, RUF campus minister and conference coordinator. “Many do not have church backgrounds and are experiencing a conference of this size for the first time. It is so important and encouraging for students from Nebraska to see students from Colorado, California, or Georgia singing the same songs, hearing the same preached word, and talking about the same Jesus.”

Keynote speakers will include the Rev. Richie Sessions, senior pastor at Independent Presbyterian (Memphis, Tenn.), the Rev. John Stone, assistant coordinator for RUF, and the Rev. Scotty Smith, founding pastor of Christ Community Presbyterian (Franklin, Tenn.). All the speakers will focus on the theme of “Justification.” Aside from the main sessions, students will choose from 30 seminars on biblical and cultural topics such as evangelism, homosexuality, depression and anxiety, human trafficking, and hip-hop music.
