Reformed Theological Seminary announced the appointment of Dr. Don Sweeting as president of the Orlando Campus and as professor of church history. Sweeting was elected by a unanimous vote of the RTS Board of Directors. He will begin serving in his new roles by June 1, 2010. 

Sweeting is ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), and has been senior pastor of Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church in Englewood, Colo., since 1998.  Previously he served as a church planter and senior pastor of Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church in northern Illinois.

Sweeting earned a B.A. in history from Lawrence University, an M.A. from Oxford University in England, studied at Regent College in Vancouver, B.C., and received  a doctorate in church history from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
