Yesterday, Mission to the World issued a Minuteman for Missions appeal for the victims of Cyclone Aila, which devastated southwestern Bangladesh several weeks ago. This is the first Minuteman appeal MTW has issued in 2009. Click on the link below to read the full letter:

In late May, Cyclone Aila hit southwestern Bangladesh, destroying more than 100,000 livestock and 65,000 acres of crops, damaging 241,000 acres (representing very small farms), destroying 240,000 houses and damaging 352,000. Gratefully, only a few hundred lives were lost. As cyclones go, it was small. You probably haven’t even heard of it. Click here to read the full letter.
