MTW Issues Appeal for Myanmar

Mission to the World has issued an urgent appeal for disaster relief following the catastrophic tropical cyclone which has hit the country of Myanmar. The death toll, presently estimated at 25,000, is expected to rise, and the number of homeless is said to be one million. Even areas not directly struck by the storm are expected to be drastically affected for a long period because of the destruction of the river delta, known as the Rice Bowl. Additional information is available on the MTW web site here.
