General Assembly 2008: News and Updates
The 36th General Assembly, June 10-13 in Dallas, Texas, is quickly approaching. Here are a number of updates, with additional details posted at www.pcaac.org/GeneralAssembly/2008.htm:
- Commissioners registration is open. All attending teaching elders and ruling elders may register online. (Ruling elders must be elected by their session to represent their church at the Assembly.)
- Seminar information has been posted on the General Assembly Web site. Please note that Danny Wuerffel with Desire Street Ministries is a seminar speaker this year.
- Women’s and children’s programs and activities, along with registration details, are also posted on the Web site.
- The Exhibit Hall is currently sold out, with a variety of ministries and organizations exhibiting this year. View a list of exhibitors and their booth assignments online.
Honoring Dr. O. Palmer Robertson
Friends, pastors, former colleagues, students, and fellow presbyters are invited to honor Dr. O. Palmer Robertson during General Assembly by attending a luncheon on June 10, at 12 p.m. in the General Assembly Convention Hall.
“It is our goal simply to honor this man who has served PCA interests for so long in all of his capacities,” said Bob Penny of Reformed Theological Seminary.
Dr. Owen Palmer Robertson is a Bible scholar, pastor, church planter, seminary professor, author, and missionary-administrator who has taught at RTS/Jackson, Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), Covenant Theological Seminary, Knox Theological Seminary (Ft. Lauderdale), and African Bible Colleges (ABC). He now serves as the vice chancellor of ABC in Kampala, Uganda.
Copies of The Hope Fulfilled: Essays in Honor of Dr. O. Palmer Robertson will be available for purchase and signing at the General Assembly luncheon.

2008 Colloquium
“What do the sacraments actually accomplish in their administration?” The North Texas Presbytery is sponsoring a Colloquium at the 2008 General Assembly, from 9:30-12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, to discuss this question.
Featured speakers will include Will Barker, Ligon Duncan, Jeffrey Meyers, and Rob Rayburn, and there will be time for a question and answer session as well.
