GA Facilities Undamaged by Nashville Floods

According to Sherry Eschenberg, the PCA Administrative Committee’s (AC) meeting planner, the Nashville Convention Center, as well as the surrounding hotels that will host the 38th General Assembly, are functional and in good repair following last weekend’s massive flooding.

“We’ve been in contact with the Nashville Convention Center as well as the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, the Sheraton Nashville Hotel, and the Millennium Maxwell House,” said Eschenberg, “None of them has been badly damaged.”

Jimmy Couch, chairman of Nashville Presbytery host committee, said, “The committee is eagerly looking forward to hosting our PCA family. We’ve got wonderful plans for women’s and children’s programs and nothing has changed.” According to Couch, the Historic Ryman Auditorium, home of Indelible Grace’s first-ever Hymnsing, is also unharmed.

“We’re relieved that GA won’t be affected,” Couch said, but a lot of damage has been done to our city. Please ask PCA members—and especially GA commissioners—to intercede with the Lord on our behalf.”

God is truly so kind & merciful! May the gathering of our GA commisioners & their famililes be yet another way God blesses the city of Nashville. And may we never become so numbed by the constant barrage of "news" that we fail to pray for other whose lives have been turned upside down.
