GA Activities...Just for Women

The annual General Assembly Women in the Church program and meal will be Thursday, June 18 from 9:30am-12:00pm. Dress is casual. Women will enjoy brunch together prior to the program. Dr. Paul Tripp, president of Paul Tripp Ministries, staff member of Tenth Presbyterian in Philadelphia, and author, will be the speaker. Dr. Tripp’s talk is entitled “Women: So You Are Disappointed, Now What?” Childcare will be offered. Click here to register for the brunch and childcare, as well as for information on attractions in and around Disney to assist you as you plan your own activities.

Seminars for women are offered as usual on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. These are times planned to further equip and train women in their role as the wife of an elder. Seminar titles include, “The Unexpected: What I Didn’t Know I Didn’t Know and What the Lord is Teaching Me as a Young Elder’s Wife,” “Loving Your Husband and His Calling to Lead,” and “Things Every Pastor Wished the Women in His Church Knew.” Click here for detailed seminar descriptions.

Women and their children also have an opportunity to go behind the scenes at Disney. Two children’s activities are offered through the Disney Institute Wednesday, June 17. Go to http://www.pcaac.org/FamilyInformation.htm for information and registration.

This year’s General Assembly will be held in Orlando, Fla., at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Convention Center June 16-19. The PCA encourages men to register as commissioners if they have not yet done so. Registration is now available online at www.pcaac.org.
