Davis to Preach Opening Sermon at 38th Assembly
Brad Bradley, retiring moderator of the PCA General Assembly, has invited Mark A. Davis, senior pastor at Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Dallas, Texas to preach the opening message to the 38th Assembly. The assembly will meet in Nashville from June 29 to July 2. Davis’s sermon "Wonder of Wonders” will be based on Psalm 145.
Davis began his career at Heritage Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Oklahoma City before enrolling at Covenant Theological Seminary in 1994. Following graduation, he became the pastor of youth and family at Chesterfield Presbyterian Church (PCA), in St. Louis in 1997. In 2003 Park Cities called him to be pastor to youth and families. In 2007 he was named pastor of spiritual life. And in May 2008, he was installed as the second senior pastor at Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
Davis and his wife Kristina have been married for 19 years. They have four children, and another due next month.
