Christian Education and Publications Announces Discipleship Conference Featuring Chuck Colson

Leaders, pastors, missionaries, teachers, and disciplers from across the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) will gather in Atlanta, GA, November 12-15, to address how Christians are to make disciples with a kingdom understanding at a conference entitled “Making Visible God’s Invisible Kingdom.” Believing the PCA to be a strategic denomination in accomplishing this task, noted author and speaker Chuck Colson has accepted the invitation to be the keynote speaker at the conference. Christian Smith, professor at Notre Dame University, will also address the conference focusing on the particular need to disciple the next generation. Professors Anthony Bradley and Allen Curry and Christian educator Charles Dunahoo will also challenge and equip participants in their role to make "kingdom" disciples.

Breakout seminars and workshops will focus on a variety of discipling ministries within a local church such a youth ministries, children's ministries, women's ministries, and men's ministries. Seminars will also focus on practical issues like cultural influences, covenantal approaches, mentoring, using the Bible in discipleship, the role of family, the pastor and his wife's role, and more. Visit www.pcacep.org/discipleship08 for more information. It is recommended that participants register early due to limited space.
