Allan Tibbels Toiled on Behalf of His Adopted City: PCA RE was a quadriplegic who "expressed his convictions through hammers and nails"

“Allan Tibbels, a quadriplegic who abandoned a life of suburban prosperity a quarter-century ago to toil on behalf of his adopted city neighborhood, a pious man who expressed his convictions through hammers and nails and drywall, died of multiple organ failure early Thursday morning at Mercy Medical Center,” says the Baltimore Sun. “He was 55.”

Having known Allan for the past 30 years I can say that his sacrificial lifestyle and intense love for others came years before Sandtown. I also don't believe He launched Sandtown Habitat for Christians to recognize and atone for their sins. Only Christ can atone for our sins. As an elder in the PCA he knew this well. Allan, a true inspiration to us all, showed us not only how to bring a family to those in need, but also how to bring those in need into the family.

Ihave known Allan Tibbles since 1995, however, I didnot have a close personal relationship with Mr. Tibbles like so many of the other homeowners did. however, I want to say praise be to God for people like Mr. Tibbles who has help many people in the Baltimore Sandtown area to realize their dream of owning a home. To Mrs. Tibbles my prayers are with you and your family. Truely Allan Tibbles will be missed. There is no one that is qualified to replace Allan Tibbles in all that he has done for Sandtown there is not one person that can fill his shoes. However, Mrs. Tibblestake comfort in knowing that your husband is resting in the arms of Jesus Christ our Lord. In the time of sorrow God is there to comfort your heart. God Bless always remember always look to God no matter what.
