In the not-too-distant future the average ‘church person’ will not be white, suburban, male — or American. Soon, the typical church goer may be a poor African woman, struggling to make ends meet, and living in cities such as Lagos, Kinshasa, or Accra.

In this talk, Bryan Chapell explores what that means for the PCA. He discusses how we must change to become a part of the future church. He also talks about how, with our “cognitive orientation,” it’s difficult for PCA people to see and confess our need for those who are different.

More crucially, perhaps, Chapell discusses how our fidelity to Scripture and our commitment to the Reformed faith — rather than being a source of contention among us — must become fuel for the Great Commission.
