Covenant Grad Wins Fulbright-Fogarty

Jonathan Wilson, Covenant College class of 2006, has been awarded a Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowship in public health, funding nine months of HIV-AIDS research in Durban, South Africa.

Wilson explains that recent studies have shown that the prevalence of HIV continues to increase in South Africa, despite the fact that international aid is better funded than ever. In his research, Wilson hopes to investigate key factors surrounding HIV infection among South African youth, looking for ways to better implement treatment and prevention programs.
