Church Planters to Gather in Orlando
By

Mission to North America (MNA) and Global Church Advancement will hold their annual Church Planting Conference on Jan. 28-31, 2014. Hundreds of church planters, pastors, and lay-leaders representing dozens of denominations will gather at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Fla., for the weekend.

“The training is theologically driven and Gospel centered, not just focused on methodology,” explains MNA church-planting coordinator Ted Powers, a speaker at the 2014 conference. Training sessions will also provide a comprehensive ministry plan for planting, revitalizing, or growing a healthy church.

“It’s not just a smorgasbord of interesting seminars or modules,” adds Powers.  Planters are encouraged to bring spouses, launch-team members, coaches, and other key leaders to encourage team building and vision casting. There will also be special training tracks for spouses and coaches.

Teachers representing more than 200 years of collective, in-the-trenches church-planting experience — including Steve Childers, president of Global Church Advancement, Tim Rice from Trinity PCA in Lakeland, Fla., and Larry Kirk, pastor and RTS professor — will instruct attendees.
